Smile Enhancement with
Gingival Graft Procedure
What is Connective Tissue Grafting?
This is the most frequently employed technique for addressing root exposure. During this procedure, a section of tissue is cut from the roof of your mouth (palate).
The tissue beneath this flap, known as subepithelial connective tissue, is extracted and then securely attached to the gum tissue that surrounds the exposed root. Once the connective tissue graft has been obtained from beneath the palatal flap, the flap is carefully sutured back in place.

Why Do Gums Recede?
1. Brushing Too Hard: If you're using a hard-bristle toothbrush or brushing too aggressively, it can wear away gum tissue over time.
2. Gum Disease: Periodontal disease can lead to gum recession as it damages the supporting structures of your teeth.
3. Genetics: Sometimes, it's in your genes. Some people are more prone to gum recession due to their family history.
4. Poor Oral Hygiene: Neglecting your oral health can contribute to gum problems, including recession.
Benefits of Connective Tissue Graft
Stops Recession
CTG covers the exposed roots of your teeth, preventing further gum recession.
Reduces Sensitivity
Exposed roots can make your teeth sensitive to hot and cold. CTG helps by covering them up.
Improves Appearance
If you're self-conscious about your smile because of uneven gums, CTG can make your smile more attractive.
