Dental Plaque

Hygiene Appointments

It is recommended to visit your dental hygienist at least twice a year.  Regular visit is necessary to maintain good oral health as brushing and flossing alone is not enough to clean hidden areas such as under the gums where bacteria, tartar and plaques can build up.

Your hygienist will also help you choose oral care products that are best for you based on their assessment.

Our team recommends you to follow the steps below to help you maintain healthy gums and teeth.

  • brush your teeth at least twice daily.
  • lessen your intake of sugary food and drinks.
  • book an appointment with Auckland Family Dental regularly or as often as they recommends to avoid any dental and gum diseases.
